The Dark Heart of Italy

Okay, so I have sort of cracked into this book, and it is definitely more interesting than I initially expected it to be. Being from Italian heritage I know that Italians are loud people and talk a lot; I mean that's my family in a nutshell. I guess looking on from the outside and being from a country that takes such pride in its unity it is a very big shock to read that Italy's "unity" is almost a joke to most Italians. The real pride in the country comes from the common love of the National Soccer team. It is amusing to see how people from outside the country only think of it as a beautiful place but people in the country see the true side of things.

Okay finally I have a blog. I have never done this before but oh well. I cannot wait to get to Venice next year. Anyone that I have ever talked to who has gone to Italy said that they liked Venice better than anywhere else that they visited. I love seafood and I hear there is a ton of it so I am extremely pumped. I could live off of fish and pasta so thats what I plan on doing.
